About Cartesian Kinetics

Unlocking the Potential of What’s Already Built

Cartesian Kinetics is rewriting the playbook on warehouse automation. We believe automation should adapt to the warehouse—not the other way around.

That belief led to the creation of Omni Rack Robotics, a new category of automation built around real-world operational constraints. Our flagship solution, Carte+, is the world’s first ORR system—a retrofit-first, rack-native robotic platform that brings scalable automation to facilities of virtually any age, shape, or size.

We were founded on a simple—but contrarian—belief: automation should improve the infrastructure companies already have, not force them to tear it down and start over.

  • Retrofit-first and rack-native by design
  • Scalable across workflows, aisles, and facilities

Our Purpose

Reimagining How the Physical World Moves

Our Purpose Today

Our Mission

To help businesses move physical goods with the speed, flexibility, and intelligence of digital systems—by automating the infrastructure they already own.

The Future We See

Our Vision

To transform the global warehouse landscape with Omni Rack Robotics—creating a world where automation is no longer a luxury for new facilities, but a scalable advantage for every warehouse.

Our Purpose

Reimagining How the Physical World Moves

We are building a future where advanced warehouse automation adapts to real operations and becomes accessible to facilities everywhere.

Our Mission

Give businesses the speed, flexibility and intelligence of digital systems in the movement of physical goods—by automating the infrastructure they already own.

The Future We See

Our Vision

Make Omni Rack Robotics a global standard—turning automation from a greenfield privilege into a scalable advantage for every warehouse.

How It Started

Our Story

Jayendran Balasubramanian, founder of Cartesian Kinetics
Built Around the Real Warehouse
The Question That Started It

“Why can’t automation be built to fit the warehouse, not the other way around?”

That simple question sparked a new vision—and ultimately, a new category of automation.

For more than 25 years, the team behind Cartesian Kinetics has worked across industrial robotics, manufacturing automation, and packaging systems. Throughout that experience, one disconnect became increasingly clear: automation technology had evolved, but most warehouses had not.

Facilities built decades ago were being asked to accommodate rigid systems designed for greenfield environments. The result was costly infrastructure changes, operational disruption, and, for many businesses, automation that remained out of reach.

Across real-world warehouse operations, the same pattern appeared repeatedly. Standard racks, existing floors, conventional totes, cartons, and cases were not exceptions—they were the reality. Yet most robotics systems treated this infrastructure as an obstacle rather than a starting point.

What We Believe

Principles Built Around Real Operations

Our approach starts with the warehouse as it exists today. Every system is designed to preserve infrastructure, reduce risk, and create a practical path to scalable automation.

Preserve

Automate What Already Exists

Automation should enhance the racks, floors, cartons, and systems operators already own—not require them to rebuild from scratch.

Adapt

Design Around Real Operations

Effective automation must accommodate space constraints, changing workflows, varied inventory, and the realities of continuous operations.

Validate

Prove Performance Before Deployment

Digital-twin validation allows operators to test throughput, configuration, and ROI before committing capital or disrupting the operation.

Scale

Expand Without Disruption

Automation should grow incrementally across aisles, workflows, and facilities while protecting business continuity at every stage.

Together, these principles define our approach: automation that adapts to the warehouse and unlocks the potential of what is already built.
